Camera lens adjustment
Check the focal length
With a low-transmissivity filter and low illumination, make sure the camera aperture is not over-adjusted in the open position.
Optical Focus: Adjust the zoom lens focus with the maximum focal length
Back focus (lens): Use a set screw to mechanically adjust the lens, adjust the focus at the shortest focal length, and a) optimize.
Back Focus (Pickup Tube): If the focal length differs between channels for the maximum focal length and the minimum focal length, each pickup tube must be mechanically adjusted on the optical axis.
Choose a white channel. Set the optical focus at the maximum focal length. Use the shortest focal length and different focal lengths to adjust the pickup tube in the W channel until the best focus is achieved. If necessary, alternate with optical focus adjustment.
Adjust the red and blue pickup tubes with constant optical focus and the shortest focal length until the best focus is achieved. With back focus adjustment, the image is focused (focus adjusted) at all focal lengths (zoom in) and at constant distances from the subject.
